Appalachian Regional Healthcare System is dedicated to providing advanced healthcare in every stage of life. The Foley Center at Chestnut Ridge affirms this by providing quality end of life care for residents here in the High Country. Palliative Care - Chestnut Ridge at Blowing Rock, set to open in Summer 2016, will complete Appalachian Regional Healthcare System’s continuum of care in the High Country. It will be a state-of-the-art 112 bed medical facility which will provide rehabilitation services, memory support care, long term care, palliative care and a primary care clinic for people of all ages. There is a critical need for palliative care in our community and the focus of our services will be provision of comfort care to patients nearing the end of life. Other patients with curable illnesses and those living with chronic diseases may also receive palliative care treatments at Chestnut Ridge.
