Appalachian Regional Healthcare System Foundation

Appalachian Regional Healthcare Foundation (ARHF) supports Appalachian Regional Healthcare System (ARHS) which includes The Foley Center at Chestnut Ridge, Charles A. Cannon, Jr. Memorial Hospital, Watauga Medical Center and Appalachian Regional Medical Associates.

The ARHF, governed by a 13-member Board, works with donors to ensure continued quality health care for the High Country. The primary purpose of ARHF is to promote and facilitate philanthropy on behalf of ARHS and its affiliates. The Foundation accomplishes its function through various efforts including, but not limited to, major and planned giving solicitation, special events and annual fund drives.

In addition to promoting philanthropy on behalf of ARHS and its affiliates, the Foundation strives to serve its donors by adhering to the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy's Standard of Ethics. Additionally, the Foundation makes every effort to match prospective donors with initiatives within ARHS creating an environment of trust and mutual satisfaction.

As a result of these efforts, the Foundation assists ARHS in ensuring that its patients have access to advanced healthcare; that its caregivers have access to advanced medical resources and technologies; and that its donors realize great satisfaction in bringing the very best possible healthcare to the individuals within our communities.
